W.A. Hare and Son Ltd have a highly
skilled and motivated workforce. We have small works teams which
undertake minor building works and repairs. We also have other
site agents who supervise projects up to £1 million in
value.

"1086" Restaurant
|
We work with local architects and
local authorities on their own projects, or carry out design
and build work - examples of this include classroom blocks for
Bootham school in York and the "1086" Restaurant at
Hazlewood Castle near Tadcaster : Both of these were Grade I
listed buildings which required sympathetic designs and an exacting
standard of workmanship. |

| Recent projects of note are The Oaks
Golf Clubhouse at Aughton near Bubwith (North Yorkshire), the
Posterngate Doctors Surgery in Selby, The Sir Jack Lyons music
cebtre at the University of York, the refurbishment of the old
Claypenny Hospital at Easingwold, and development of 22 houses
within its grounds for a local housing authority. Five of our
contracts were featured in the 1999 R.I.B.A. Journal. Two of
last years projects were awarded Civic Shields. |
